Project X Goes To Davos 2019
Project X Co-Founder, Marcela Navarro will be attending the 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos, alongside industry leaders to be part of shaping the global-scale discussions on tackling environmental degradation.
The theme of Davos 2019 is “Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. The WEF’s Global Risk Report 2019 clearly shows how environmental crises are among the biggest risks that the world faces in the next 10 years. Meanwhile, there is significant discussion amongst leaders of both public and private organisations about how this new industrial age can foster positive environmental change.
Project X’s work is radically transforming the architecture of global industries’ supply chains which are most responsible for biodiversity decline and climate change impact. Our stakeholders are working together to de-risk the adaptation of innovation and bring the necessary changes to life. No single organisation can afford, never mind tackle, a change of this magnitude by themselves. It has to be a multi-stakeholder effort.
“We are just at the beginning of Globalization 4.0, and are significantly underprepared for the magnitude of change we are facing. We are still approaching issues of globalization with an outdated mindset. Tinkering with our existing processes and institutions will not be enough. We need to redesign them so that we can capitalize on the abundance of new opportunities that await us, while also avoiding the kinds of disruptions that we are witnessing today,” Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman, World Economic Forum.
